Pen The Verse

The seeker went out to find the truth.
So did you.
The seeker went out to see the couth.
So did you.
The seeker found the hidden gem.
The seeker wound the riddle stem.
The seeker did and so did you.

The farmer went out to milk the cow.
So did you.
The farmer went out to slop the sow.
So did you.
The farmer kept the killer bee.
The farmer swept the money tree.
The farmer did and so did you.

The hunter went out to get the duck.
So did you.
The hunter went out to kill the buck.
So did you.
The hunter wed the silly clown.
The hunter fed the royal crown.
The hunter did and so did you.

The fisher went out to bait the hook.
So did you.
The fisher went out to net the brook.
So did you.
The fisher passed the ocean cod.
The fisher cast the spinning rod.
The fisher did and so did you.

The author went out to pen the verse.
So did you.
The author went out to tell the curse.
So did you.
The author shook the city hall.
The author took the curtain call.
The author did and so did you.
