Analysis of It's My Life
You pulled me back from death
in its tempting black light,
only to watch me fall again,
back down into the abyss.
In your world,
where happiness is hate,
you seem to thrive
on the terror you create.
When you pried my fingers
off that edge,
you crushed more than my spirit,
you smashed the tower of trust.
In your half-hearted apology,
you want me to take
every blame that is not mine
as you still claim what is divine.
Through my tears
I shall climb;
the searing pain shall be my own,
and your help I don’t condone.
