Faith

The past builds up,
and we stand on it as humans,
hoping that our foundation
is going to hold strong.
As every architect knows,
buildings are not built on hope,
but on knowledge and careful planning,
else the world comes crumbling down.
Shall I see you at the bottom then?
Shall I watch as we all fall?
We all knew
this day was drawing near.
Your money cannot save you,
you will fall with the poor man.
your church cannot save you,
you will fall with the faithless.
The deciding factor
stays with who will rebuild correctly,
who will start over,
and build a humble abode in truth.
