Analysis of I Want the Butterflies Back

You were the Only One
Who made my mind clear
Now everything is singed
With the burning of tears
I want, again, the feeling
Of nervousness and love
I want the butterflies back
But they're too high above
Now their wings are burnt
Torn and left alone
Fires burning high
Time is spent to mourn
I don't want what I'm feeling;
Abondonment and pain.
If I can't be by your side,
What is there to be gained?
Now, another is One
Truest love is gone
Missing you, Lucifer*
To you, I'm still drawn

*Lucifer is the nickname for someone I know. Not referring to THE Lucifer. Just saying. lol

Brittani Bowden

My name's Brittani, I'm 15 years old, and I've been writing poetry for the last few years. I have written around 90 poems in that time. Not entirely sure if that's a great feat or not, but I'm happy with it nonetheless ^-^ And, of course, I will be adding and adding and adding and- okay, you get the point- to my "archive" (isn't that an awesome word? :3) of poetry for as long as I live...And maybe even after O_o Anyway, to whoever reads my poetry, I hope you like it and can be inspired by it. Any comments, suggestions, or criticism is greatly appreciated. P.S. I am fairly psychotic >:D and also comletely random. CRANBERRY-SAUCE!!! Anyway, enjoy my poetry :)or not...You're choice. haha more…
