Analysis of Fairy tale from the abyss

Let the words flow,
with my eyes closed.
Hear the sounds shake,
shake my mental state.
Cowards play behind closed doors.
The brave are forgotten offshore.
Living a lie is no fairytale,
Eventually you'll end up in hell.
Does this mean anything to you?
Are you happy with what they do?
Screaming, waiting for it all to end.
To your own wounds you must attend.
Screw all the rest, they're all redundant and dull.
They're scary and weak underneath of it all.
Take these words with a heavy heart,
It's your life do you know where it starts?

Rebecca Yoakem

The first 5 poems are from the poetry.com archives just as a heads up. I started writing poetry around the age of 8. I've been published in a little known book when I was in jr. high. I have also written for a few other non profit organizations as far as an adoption story (if I could find the poem I would post it). Basically, I just started to pick up writing again. If my poetry seems dark or confusing, sorry but that's how I am sometimes. I may throw a few "happy" curve balls. Btw, I am far from being emo or scene or any of those terms, I am just passionate about my writing. more…
