Analysis of Drilling & Blasting (Prequel to Mary MacLary)

Drillin' & Blastin'

Drillin' 'n blastin'
c#nt of a job
Cairns in the 70's
f#ck it was hot

47 Celsius
and that was in the shade
Where the f#ck you say this iz?!
You'd swear you were in Hades

BIG ED was The Boss Man
Apprenticed ("Fearless") Fred & Mac
If ya didn't work yer guts out
Yer were sure t' get the sack

Gelignite, exploding rocks,
to a young lad sounds like fun
Light the fuse and run like f#ck
or this time you'd be done!

C#nt - had sold us fast burn (fuse)
The one time, Ed, NOT check
If not for Fearless' Eagle eye
The three of 'em were dead

"Is that supposed to burn that fast?"
Fred laconically enquired
"SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT FARRRRRRRK -
GET IN THE TRUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!"
for sure - they'd be EXPIRED

PEDAL TO THE METAL
WHERE THE F#@K WAS MACCA!?!!!
Boltin' faster 'n (Deek) Costella
Nick of time - he caught 'em up

Rocks were raining down on them
Debris, gigantic boulders
Driving blind, Ed couldn't see for dust
The truck, he nearly rolled 'er

The locals of the nearby town
gathered 'round to watch the action
Emerging from the dust and rocks
The guys and truck.... an apparition???

"We thought yoo'z were goners mate"
Everyone in shock.
ONE HELLUV AN EXPLOSION!!!!
sh!t-stained were their jocks

Only one thing left to do
Was celebrate their luck
Hit the local waterin' hole
and get blind ragin' drunk!!!
