Cry Baby

I focus on the little things
because I'm really scared
How could someone love me
Why should someone care

I know that I'm not worth the cost
It's all there in the book
Tallied and accounted for
Whingeing little sook

Why then did you have me
I wish I wasn't born
Alone depressed and anxious
In my room forlorn

I guess they did the best they could
with the skills they had
Belting little children
They didn't know it's bad

Their parents did the same to them
and they turned out ok (??)
"DON'T ANSWER BACK -
YOU'LL GET A SMACK!!"

Back then it was the way
Silence then was golden

Little kids don't have a say

Please read -
"Little girl, where have you gone?"
(By Louise Vorster) and Melissa Metzger's poems
This iz for them...
