Analysis of Bigger

Bigger is better that's the usual thought,
It really depends on what is sought,
Seeking massive gains in finance and such,
But also consider the penalties much!

As a cartel amazing what's done,
Challenging the law how many battles won?
On this occasions the cartel lost,
Brilliant police intelligence and the ultimate cost.

Think of seizures lives and sales,
These drug dealers and balance of scales,
Law and enforcement criminals and crime,
Sinister their trading and their design.

Amassing a fortune no conscience at all,
Addiction and death it's rise and fall,
Those who suffer through use of drugs,
Constantly rub shoulders with inhuman thugs.

Now and then there's battles for turf,
Struggling for supremacy what is it worth?
Killing often occurs that's the final price,
Murder and mayhem certainly isn't nice.
About this poem;-
Reading in the media about a 20 tonne shipment of
drugs seized by authorities showed how this trade
has escalated and also the addiction and death
that subsequently results. As an ex policeman
who had to deal with such problems I felt a

short poem about this was warranted.

stan brierly

I have been writing poems for forty years and written about all sorts of things. Somehow I get creating streaks and can write up to 4 or 5 poems at once of varying subjects. I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
