Analysis of Beginning Stage

I wake up to thoughts of you
check my phone, just in case
I may have missed a text or two
roll myself out of bed in haste
Though your lips I can still taste

The drive to work is nothing new
Contemplating when to call
Imagine things we love to do
Convinced it is best to stall
Keep my head held up tall

Images of us happy and together
try to keep my mind occupied
We could be like birds of a feather
my thoughts get compromised
Hopes and dreams are fortified

Still I recall ur words to me
The sadness takes its toll
Your unwillingness and negativity
I have lost all control
The emptiness constructs a hole

Work day comes to an end
Waiting around for you to ring
This has become such a trend
Smiling when I hear that ding
I jolt to my phone like a spring

Casting my eyes on your number
My heart skips a beat
Chattering till we slumber
Our bodies feel the heat
What a midnight treat

On those exceptional days
When the hours feel like seconds
Can't take my eyes off your face
The passion in us beckons
The doors open to the heavens

My happiness is overrated
Although it's time to say goodbye
You were with me and I elated
The feelings get me so high
Till we meet again I sigh
