Analysis of Absence

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"
is a half-truth cliche.
"Absence makes the heart go wander"
in step aside sashay.

"When the cat's away mice will play"
is a real depiction.
"When the cat's away mice hold sway"
without inhibition.

"Familiarity breeds contempt"
is a trite platitude.
"Familiarity, needs exempt"
makes a bad attitude.

"When you're not near the one you love"
temptations can betray.
"When you're sincere love is above"
temptation's fetching way.
