Analysis of A Very Special Person

I met you long ago now; hesitant as to what would be.
But now I must admit; you have totally surprised me.

We have alot in common; things you already knew.
You have a way of knowing when I am feeling blue.

I have learned that you are a person I can count on.
To offer support or advice when I really need someone.

Your experience and wisdom have helped me so.
You have no idea; I appreciate it more than you know.

I am so grateful to have you as part of my life.
No one understands things the way that you might.

So I thank you for all you have done for me.
For something that was a surprise turned special I see.

Know that I treasure and value you in every way.
I followed my heart; not letting specialness go away.
