Analysis of The strength of mountains yet as soft as a teddy bear

THE STRENGTH OF MOUNTAINS YET AS SOFT AS
                       A TEDDY BEAR

There have been many bad things to have happened to me
Having everything that has happened though gave strength
Even if people don't want to understand what I do

Strangers were always people I was to look up to but I did it
Times may have been difficult and I've had to make mistakes
Reaching out I didn't get many people who stood behind me Each person has stayed because they consider me important
Never having anyone to count on has made me use my mind
Gifting me with the knowing how I don't want to be treated
That is all that I have to go on but it has made me caring
Happiness has been hard for me to find yet I love to laugh

Often growing up I have fought against the world in anger
Fighting though always turned out bad and many got hurt

Most of the time in the end everyone loses
Only not fighting has also brought havoc and I still learn
Under appreciated because I wear my heart on my sleeve
Nice guys finish last they say but I refuse to change
Times may have been difficult but I have made them mine
A sickness sometimes creeps in on me and sorrow rises
I have to admit that I'm not perfect but I'm going to be me
Not letting people stay who wish me harm or carry negativity

Yesterday I grew up wondering why so much happens to me
Even doubting that there was a higher power from pain
Those times have passed though and I've found acceptance

Acceptance of the fact that people aren't always honest
Sometimes they lie to themselves to feel secure but blind

Sometimes I wish that I could go back and change things
Only everything that I have gone through has built me
Finding myself wasn't very easy but here I am and I like me
To many people worry about what others think or do or have

Actually going so far as to try to make others as miserable
Shifting the blame of how they are on their pasts not choices

After experiencing so much I know what's right, so I cherish it

Time may not be kind but it makes you into who you are to be
Experiences will always happen but we choose what we learn
Doing something to another that I know for myself I don't like
Defeats the purpose of my past and shows me weak
Yet I know that I am more broken than most I refuse to harm

Because so many people have never cared to understand me
Even going so far as to leave me or causing hatred in others
All of those people I still have to thank for showing me wrong
Reasoning within myself but I always get through in force
