Analysis of To Lie With Ease
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
In the year of 2024.
The increasing of deception to accept it.
Has become easier to expect.
Like no other time before.
With a receiving to hear more.
Even behind locked doors.
Whether or not the doing is whispered.
Although the truth to tell,
As is to be.
Becomes for many a discomfort to believe.
And quickly offends,
The very ones who defend.
Not only the lies they tell told.
But also the ones by others too.
Fearing the truth and its reality heard, Exposed without warning what to do.
Leaving many to rush and buy weapons.
Preparing and ready to fight over,
Their deluded perceptions.
Wishing it to hope truth will leave.
And is better to live remaining deceived.
Since facing truth and its reality for many,
Is more to them a threat.
Than an epidemic spreading.
Not to assume to whisper,
As is done to overhear.
But near and close to doorsteps.
Promising death if kept ignored!
As if truth to stop and block it,
From daring to appear...
Beyond closed windows and locked doors.
'What kind of disease is this?
Given no permission to enter my home.'
'Dad?
Have you forgotten?
It's me.
Remember?
You wanted me to go to college?
And I did to fulfill your wish.
Well...
I am home to visit.
Hoping to share with you,
What I have learned.
And...
My obtained knowledge of truth to be.'
'Who do I call to get a refund?
What I have done has been a mistake.
You brought into our home,
An unforgivable heartbreak.'
'Kidding?
Produce and show me identification.
Or get out of this house as fast as you can.
With that nonsense.
That has diseased your mind!'
