Analysis of A Little Girl's Christmas Wish

She’s just a little girl who has seen this world’s cruelty
The main protagonist in this poem of tragedy
She watched from afar how children play with their parents in the amusement park
Then she proceeds to collect useful trash in the alley before dark
Her mother passed away after giving birth to her
Followed by her father’s death on the 1st of November
She was left under the loving care of her kind grandmother
Who works hard on a day to day basis like no other

She just turned 5 when she got bullied by a kid from the nearest mansion
She didn’t fight back to avoid being detained in the police station
She was crying helplessly beside a rusty garbage can
When she witnessed a dazzling woman stepping out of a van
She heard people gossiping how the pretty lady got out of poverty
3 years after acquiring her Bachelor’s Degree
The little girl knew how her life had been extremely rough and mean
But for the first time, she learned how it feels like to have a dream

The little girl abruptly ran to the biggest shopping mall
She cheerfully searched for the Santa Claus figure across the fruit stall
Her eyes were beaming with delight when she finally found it
Smiling ear to ear while calming her intense heartbeat
She went close to the Santa figure and softly whisper
Her heartfelt desire this month of December
“Dear Santa,
I’ve been a good kid the whole tiring year
I hope my wish you’ll hear loud and clear
They say girls my age often request for a toy that’s cool
But all I want is to be able to afford school.”

She went out of the place filled with hope and light
She aims for a future that’s comfortable and bright
She jumped for joy excited to embrace a life that’s completely new
Believing that Santa can make her Christmas wish come true.
