Analysis of Some Days...

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

Some days are diamonds - Some days are old,
Some days are so hard - it makes a shoulder cold.
You wake up in the morning with spirits held high,
By the end of the day you may ask yourself why?
They say life is too short to live it being unhappy,
But what should you do when a great day turns crappy?
You've got to make the best of it - or at least give it a try,
Just keep your mind busy - maybe time will fly by.
After it's all said and done - it wasn't even my mistake,
And to think of the hell all day I did take.
She tells me to leave her alone every time when she's mad,
But if I did that we'd hardly ever talk at all - to me - that's just as bad.
I say when you're upset let them know why - lay your cards on the table,
Don't let it build up to be bigger than what it is just try if you're able.
I say when you're mad or upset get it out right then and there,
For if you keep it bottled up inside you're hurting innocent people - and that isn't fair.
So next time you and a loved one are upset at each other,
Set down - talk it thru - as if you loved each other more than your mother.
