In Troubled Times

In troubled times what's a man to do,
When your energy level is drained and your mind hasn't a clue.
You turn to your friends for help but they're all gone,
See when the money runs out - without you - they'll carry on.
So you strive at your job to work very hard,
Time passes by as you wait for the Lord to deal your next card.
As you run out of smokes and the cupboard begins to run dry,
Thoughts go thru your mind - should I give up or give it another try?
For you know if you give up then you'll really lose it all,
Again the thoughts rush to borrow some money - who can I call?
It's times like this that really put your faith to the test,
If you can make it thru the hard times - in the good times you can rest.
So next time trouble hits and the worries have got you down,
Just remember the Lord is carrying you - wear a smile - not a frown.
