Analysis of Being Born Again

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

For years and years, decades upon decades, centuries upon centuries, even millenniums upon millenniums men have been thinking outside the box.
But I live and think inside the box.
I am the church, the temple of the living God and the ark of the new covenant.
First of all, having placed my trust in the Son of Man,
Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God; I have become the body of Christ. He is the Head; I am his body.

Then I love him and obey his commands.
The Father loves me and they have come and made their home with me.
I have been saved by grace through faith; and that not of myself, but it is the gift of God.
I have been born again of the Holy Spirit and he lives in me.
Now I am a son of God and what I shall be has not yet been made known, for when I see him I shall be like him because I shall see him as he is.

For a little while yet I shall remain an earthen vessel; a box in which they bury the dead.
But what I truly am is an ark containing all of God’s commandments; they are written on my heart and in my mind.

Also, in this ark is Aaron’s rod which has budded bringing forth life from that which was dead.
And what is more it also contains the hidden manna which came down out of heaven from God, Jesus Christ.
I eat of his flesh and I drink of his blood.
I have washed my garments in the blood of the Lamb and they have become whiter than snow.
I have overcome the world. I’ll watch and wait until he comes.
