I know my Redeemer lives

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Can you speak with your tongue?
And say what is true
Or is speech just for those
Who are foreign to you?

Lord you show me all the things
That you want me to know
And even now you still tell me
The way I should go
Lord I know that one day
We will speak face to face
But still even today
I thank you for your grace

If you speak with your tongue
Speak the word of the Lord
In the kingdom of heaven
You will get your reward

“I know that my Redeemer lives,
And that in the end he will stand
Upon the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed,
Yet in my flesh I will see God;
I myself will see him
With my own eyes – I and
Not another
How my heart yearns within me!”
