Analysis of Der er saa øde paa Heden

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

Der er saa øde paa Heden:
Kun Lyng og den nøgne Ahl;
Dog snart skal der findes et Eden,
En smilende Freyas-Sal;
Thi der vil Du boe og bygge
Med Tanke-Dybet saa rigt,
Hver Sorg skal flye som en Skygge,
Hver Dag som et Skjønheds-Digt.
Og staaer Du i Døren saa stille,
Din Mand sødt ventende hjem,
Da Parie-Folkene ville
Glad see Dig og smile og tale:
De troe, at fra Indiens Dale
En Pari er kommen til dem.
