Analysis of I have heard your tears

Royston 1946 (Reading)

I have heard the sobs and tears you shed
in your bed before the hours of the morn,
and reached down and caught each tear that fell
from your weeping eyes before the light of dawn.

Then I turned each one of those tears into a gem
that mirrored the early mornings suns bright rays,
and transformed each one into a precious diadem
and made them into a sparkling crown of praise.

And as I hold your tears in My wounded hands,
I gazed lovingly into each one and could see
reflecting in it a sweet heart of love and care,
and I know how close you were following Me.

My dear, as each tear rolls down your cheek,
remember, as I gaze upon your sorrowful face
that you will always be so very precious to Me,
and I am here holding you safe in My embrace..”

About this poem

Written after I heard my wife crying in her sleep during the night. I rolled over to cuddle her and was conscious that Jesus was also aware of each tear that she shed and was holding her in His embrace.
