Analysis of Better Than Sex

Better Than Sex

You and I so wet in the nude
Soft as water with nothing
Between us
We see what we want
We thirst for what we desire
And as we place hands
On each other’s hips
Our private members
Draw warm and near
Because this is
Better than sex
Without love.

You smell sweet as perfume
No other fragrance needed
On your beautiful body
I can feel you
Heartbeat and breathing
So steady heavy and slow
Taking your time
Fingers finding me
Lips tracing me
The gravity of your eyes
Fixed on me
Thick and hard.

We take turns in pleasure
Ecstasy unfolding
Lips in places
Only where shadows go
Our undulating motions
Imitating feelings
Thoughts and affections
Expressed in letters
Songs and poetry
We go on writing
Into the night
Until we drift off together.

This is so way totally
Better than sex
Without love
Because something
Very precious
Has given birth
Inside us
The cool night air
Brings us closer
We know what we share
Flows between us
Without ending.
