Analysis of Soul of a rainbow

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

You appear in all your glory
You wrap your arms around us holy
And we know that though you leave
You will always return to your start
On earths sleeve
And although we never part
You are a soul upon the sky
Flying as a rainbow with the most high
I hope one day to be a part
Of your colourful wings around our hearts
