The Hidden Self

A portrait of a man without a face,
Soulless painting,
Occupies it's throne,
Drowned by the stains of tears,
But a place of honor on the wall.

Impressively laughs,
To every existence,
Who dares to look at it,
You get lost while staring,
In the heavy light,
A blurred vision of yourself,
The darkest or brightest side,
The place of your inner depth.

You see yourself in the reflection of that image,
But nobody wants a naked soul,
Publicly shown,
Trick is,
Nobody sees you,
Do you like what you see?
