Analysis of The New Self
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
If you have been raised with Christ,
Seek things that are up above;
Earthly things no more enticed,
Showing Christ how much you love.
Christ is seated at the right,
On the right of the Father;
Who will give you the insight,
Making wisdom go further.
Set your mind from up above,
Not on the things here on earth;
On the salvation thereof,
Given as a priceless worth.
For your old life is now dead,
Your life is hidden with Christ;
From His glory, you are fed,
Since when He was sacrificed.
When Christ, who is in your life,
With Him in glory will appear;
Ridding you of all your strife,
Comforting you from your fear.
