Analysis of Thank You For The Lesson You Taught Me

Laughing and joking in the pool,
We were all trying to be cool.
We thought of ways to have fun,
We danced and ran under the sun.
We all thought of creative ways,
To get the security guards to give chase.

Even though things are completely different,
I still miss both of you.
Even though both burnt me bad,
And caused me immense sadness ,
I am still glad for the time we had.

I learned an important lesson:
True friends would do anything to fix problems.
But fake friends would blame and leave you when in need.
You guys showed me what fake friends were.
Thank you.

About this poem

This poem is a recollection of the good times I had with my friends who have betrayed me. I had tried to fix the relationship with them and gave it my best. However, they just straight up left. I am thankful that they taught me what fake friends were.
