Jealousy

                Jealousy
            Robs  life of joy,
And plays you like a toy.
                   Jealousy
        Triggers your insecurities,
       And speaks with insincerity.
                   Jealousy
          Incinerates your bonds
And tells you there’s no beyond.
                 Jealousy
          Tells you what you want,
           And not what you need.
                 Jealousy
        Never thrives on gratitude,
         But strives for solitude.
                 Jealousy
          Has no power over you,
              But offers a menu.
                 Jealousy
            Can be overcome
When it is, it will succumb.
