Analysis of Through the substance of our lives
Through the substance of our lives
Awake in our sleep
we sleep to wake in our dreams
Through the substance of our lives
Slow moving Hands tilted
toward the filtered light
Reveal deep set lines
and shadows that speak with age
potted plants soil in hand
Kneaded moistened compost
in clods of living earth
Planted seedlings in morning light
delicate fingers push in the ground
Pass through harvests of plenty
Our earthly journey toward the sun
in time and space so near
in the presence of its place
through the gift of its simplicity
in its freedom of that which is
right and all that turns toward
the wisdom of the light
