Analysis of An Ode To White Ace.

As I sit here today in a state of confusion,
in need of a drip, and a blood transfusion.
A headache the size of a Grizzly Bear,
a Brain made of jelly and a vacant stare.
The evening's events are lost in the mist
of another night spent outrageously pissed.
"Why do I do it?" I ask myself
as it empties my wallet, and preys on my health.
"Coz White Ace is fun!", it's such a good laugh,
then I woke up this morning, face down in the bath.
"Coz White Ace is great!", well I'll drink to that,
as I think I'm a genius, but act like a twat.
"Coz White Ace is cheap!", of that there's no doubt.
You can drink it all night, 'til they carry you out.
"Coz White Ace is tasty!", now that's just a lie..
It's the drink where your taste buds need not apply.
"Coz White Ace is a winner!", it's the drink of Champs!
Oh no, it's like Paint Thinner and the drink of Tramps.
So let's raise a glass, if we've got the strength left,
and have another pint of Faculty Theft.

About this poem

This is an old poem (about 15 years) about my favourite drink, at the time. It tastes horrible, gives you a shocking hangover, but is CHEAP. It got one where one wanted to be with little expense or fuss. I still get the taste for it occasionally.
