Analysis of Finally Making Sense

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

I have a suggestion.
Instead of taking a different direction.
Why don't we keep doing what we do.
Repeatedly.
Over and over again.
Until the desired solution is reached.

'What a brilliant idea.
Finally someone is making sense,
Around here.'

Although,
I must confess and admit...
A proposing of one exception.

'Oh?
And...
What would that be?'

I know this may sound a bit crazy.
But...
Why don't we start,
From where we ended that very last time.
To practice making backward steps.
With a determination to recognize,
A familiarity of our surroundings.

'Go ahead, continue, don't stop.
I'm loving this!'

Then...
There may be a possibility,
We might even realize...
Something being done,
Is not moving us towards...
That successful outcome we expect.
And...
Where we began to begin,
Is a repetition that receives the same results.
However...
Achieved in a different and unique way.

'You...
Are most definitely a genius.
Why did you not suggest this before?
What you have proposed,
Would have save us much wasted time.'

Well...
Honestly?
I didn't think in your position of leadership.
You would be receptive and open,
To doing the same thing over and over again.
But with a fresh outlook.
Yet in a different way.
That gets the same results you prefer.

'Don't be ridiculous.
Come on.
What makes you think I am not open minded?'
