Respect To Expect It

Never should it be,
Anyone's sacrificial mission.
With good intentions intake to perform,
An expectation to feel regret and accept...
A being beaten down by tongues.
Done to do to test their stamina.

Nor should those who are good people.
Tolerate with tested patience.
Others disrespectful.
And taught thoughtlessness to teach it.
Although such missions may require,
Sedatives to take them hour by hour.
Done to believe attitudes will change.
With time to give before one's mind goes.

Stop!
In the name of love.
Before your mind is blown.
Think this o-o-ver!
Baby, baby stay aware of what you do.
There is nothing you were born to prove.
Think this o-o-ver!

Move on.
Express no feelings of regret.
Move on.
From those incapable to be thankful.
Move on and let it be shown,
Your time to waste,
Is yours and no one else to condone.
Stop in the name,
Of your own love to save it.

Life to live has a way to teach,
Reality for what it is.
Without sermons from pulpits.
Or podiums to preach.
And ignorance to keep it seldom rewards,
Long lasting benefits...
That honors kept to encourage stupidity.

Respect to expect it,
Takes effort to endeavor.
And not accomplished without it given.
To guarantee it achieved.

Stop!
In the name of love.
Before you break your own heart.
And...
If you have to think this over?
Do it now!
Don't hesitate to await for change.
You be the change...
To make that difference made!

Take time to celebrate,
The you of who you are!
