Analysis of Family Photos

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

A snapshot, only I, could see
Would be more than enough for me
Of God down playing in the sand
Or standing fifty feet from land

All smiles as He was filled with joy
The Lord was still a little boy
He did not know the sorrow yet
Behind the ears He was still wet

But soon He’d grow to be a man
Completing all God’s perfect plan
When it was done He went back home
He’s seated now upon the throne

But He’ll be coming back again
This time in judgment He will stand
One foot on sea and one on land
Because He is the Son of Man
