Analysis of It's Up To Us

If I close the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people, and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

Forgive us, Lord, for we have strayed.
Just look at all the mess we’ve made.

We have left our first love.
Lord who reigns from above.

We’ve kept our bibles closed on shelves
We’ve become lovers of only ourselves.

We’ve allowed the enemy, to come in.
Help us return from where we’ve been.

Lord, we know Your heart is torn.
From the blood of billions of the unborn.

Lord, we know that it’s not okay.
Just to live anyway.

We’ve become too afraid to offend anyone.
And now our nation has come undone.

It’s up to us Lord, to change our ways.
Let us humble ourselves, and pray.

Your sacrifice was Heaven-sent.
But it’s up to us to repent.
