Filling up on Mammon

We are we foolish to think, that anyone of us can bring peace to the land.

The Lord has already done that, why can’t we understand?

Why have we turned, a blinded eye; why have we gone astray?

Why have we let the enemy, make pawns of us; why oh why, I say?

For the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride life; all is ill-gotten gain.

The more we have, the more we want; And we throw it down, the drain.

We waste our money on things we want, instead of the things we need.

Then we complain, when it’s all gone. Yes, yes, yes indeed.

Money can get you far, but it can’t get you into Heaven.

We need more, of the Word of Truth, instead of filling up on mammon.
