Analysis of Little Resemblance
In your small sunny face,
surrounded by dusty strings of hair,
your dark sparkling eyes are asking.
And you speak with friendly sounds.
In combinations I can’t track
you cheerfully chat
Until you notice that this stranger
is not familiar with your tongue.
Then your body talks.
You point. You smile.
And I know what you’re saying.
Yes, we both have a dog.
