Analysis of "Angel Of Mercy On The Expo Line"

"Angel Of Mercy On The Expo Line"

I'm all aboard with an "Interstellar" mind, lessons abound, fore & aft!
Seems the first, last and current truth is pain!

Then, in walks an angel.

I've been warned that they come "unbeknownst" but this one had traveled far to find me. She came  from Spain, she went to Mexico to Las Vegas, all to land here in LA on the Expo Line in the seat next to me.
Fate happens, I couldn't have prayed for this!

My mind is traveling, searching the stars for my lost constellation.     The pain is manifesting in more than just my face, it's traveling and I can feel it making roads up and down to my neck, shoulders and head.

There's a lot you can do when you see someone in pain. You can ignore it, wonder about it, try to empathize with it, sympathize with it, or you can do what an angel would do, spread your wings over it and heal it!

She had done this before, angels are natural born lovers. I thought about all she had to be blind to in order to love me here on this train; Race, Color & Creed, Opinion, Fear, The Unknown, The responses of those around us?

But she had come too far for that nonsense, somehow, she knew my need was too great.

She started with words that acknowledged the pain that she saw in my eyes. Next she asked for permission to give me what I so badly needed from her but would never have asked for, a human touch!

Next came the healing hands, searching out the pain, strong warm hands, plying fingers, digging, stroking, pushing and pulling at the pain until it starts to break, release, fold under the commands of loving hands.

Now she taps into my mind, sharing her focus, helping me to breath, relax, to believe it's getting better as she draws the deep pain from the well, how did she know?

Know what is true, question it, let go of what you cannot prove, God's got that! Be in the center of where you're at and love it! Peace, Calm, Truth!

Time does it's thing, disappearing in those moments of peace and pleasure. There is one last gift this angel has to share, an embrace.

An embrace that reaches the deepest pain, the loneliness, the broken heart, that loss I had mentioned earlier.

An embrace that elicits deep emotions, physical responses, longing, almost clinging, unlocked tears!

She gave me all that I needed for as long as I needed it!
I admit I was slightly embarrassed at my need as I forced myself to let go.

Her eyes seemed to ask what more could she give? My mind thought of many things but then I thought, how do you make love to an angel?

I settled for a light kiss and a knowing smile.

Angelic visit,  beknowest.

A last kiss flung through the air as she rose up the escalator to the green line.

True love, from an Angel of mercy on the Expo-Line.

About this poem

It was a late summers eve, I had just come from the watching the moving movie "Intersteller" a movie about Love & Loss in the context of Space & Eternity. Having just lost my Wife a few years earlier it brought out some unexpected feelings. That coupled with a headache and the cool night air stimulating some Sickle Cell pain, I was kind of a wreck on that ride home! Then she came! She had been traveling, going to conferences following her guru who taught self-help inner-healing and LA was her last stop before returning to Spain, thank God for that!
