Analysis of LAND OF THE NIGHT
In a land where night-time never fades
And darkness brings on only dread,
The night doth never turn to day
And the living fear the walking dead.
Nightlife is the only life
That people in this foul place know,
With stalking terrors ever rife
Your beating heart may never slow:
Until the end of life descends
Upon you at an ungodly hour,
At last your fear of living ends
As only dying has the power:
The power to drive away your fear
Your horror of this evil land,
And as sweet death draws ever near
No longer terror’s in command:
Command of all the living in
This place where hope can never thrive,
A place where goodness turns to sin
And nothing worthy can survive.
THE END
