Analysis of Of the penultimate

Mark Cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

Left to my own devices
A devious domain remains
Schemes of eternity
Methods to the madness
To it all
Leave everyone with a loss
A loss of speech
And a impediment
Of foot in mouth
And a kick in the ass
With teething and seething
Rabid foaming
Once bitten by ratts
The darkness
Covers the light inside
In me it reigns a supreme song
And a first ruler
Who led all astray
He was struck down
And he can't escape the wrath
Of the penultimate
And the look of majestic states
