Analysis of I will know

Silver strands, a parting curtain
Reveal long lines of life
Dimming light from darkening eyes
Welcome sleep, welcome night

The long winter sets the table
In peace we greet the dark
No fear exists in an ending
Embraced within the heart

The long cool days have feasted well
The evening came so slow
I welcome sleep, I welcome night
And face my time to go

I tamp the candle with my hand
What’s unknown I will know
