Outlines of Life

In midnight dance of unrestraint
Neath woven summer vine
In summer sweat and body heat
Two lovers there recline

In sultry night of gentle breeze
On starlit dappled stage
They hold a court of regal fame
And homage life there pays

All nature bows in silent awe
To honor two thus so
For from them life will surely come
And new life they will know

In sylvan glade on grassy swath
The stage was set and played
On Eden’s morn, in shadows form
The outlines where they laid
