Analysis of Of Bygone Years I Lament
In solitude how years rolled by , I lament
Staying awake at nights in torment
Like sand from my palm, time has slipped by
Under all circumstances I had to comply
Wondering now of all the unfulfilled dreams
Memories flashing and flowing like streams
When I giggle it doesn't sound real
It would indeed take a long time to heal
Ponder whether I am alive or just surviving
Time passes but stagnant is the feeling
No more is there a spring in the step
As the emotions explode I gasp
I look back and there are shadows
Can hardly see the beautiful meadows
All the conditioning I went through
The suppressed feelings start to brew
How amazing it would be to forget
If could leave the past behind, have no regrets
