Analysis of My Sister

Kassey James Hoege 1967 (Madison, Wisconsin)

My sister is someone,
     I could always tease.
     Know she'd forgive me
     just by saying please.

My sister is someone,
     in whom I can confide.
     All those pains or emotions,
     that torment me inside.

My sister is someone,
     I care for and protect.
     Her honor I will defend,
     when shown disrespect.

My sister is someone,
like her there is no other.
I love her with all my heart,
and am proud to be her brother.

About this poem

I wrote this for my sister because I wanted her to know how important she is to me.
