Then I met you
Kassey James Hoege 1967 (Madison, Wisconsin)
I felt I had no meaning,
as if my life were through.
I had nowhere to turn,
and then I met you.
I pretended to be happy.
and no one had a clue.
Tears were my only friend,
and then I met you,
I had lost my smile,
and my spirit no longer flew.
I thought they were gone forever,
and then I met you.
Finding someone who cares,
and a love I know is true.
Dreams I never thought possible,
and then I met you.
About this poem
I was in a bad place in life when I wrote this. In fact, I had written about 60 or so. Each based on myself and things that I had either gone through or was going through. I hope people like my words, as strange as they may be,
