One day I met a butterfly
Beneath a somber summer sky.
He fluttered ‘round me silently
As if he didn’t care
That I might try to snatch him up.
Did I even dare?

He could’ve settled peacefully
Upon a nearby rose,
Instead, God’s little...

Beaming with incomparable innocence
Wandering, wondering
Locking on to willing...

Power Outage

Alone at home, candles flickering
Hear the flame burning
Silence deepening, not yet breaking
World at bay, no longer invading
Only the distant swoosh
Of an occasional car on wet pavement.

All is mum, no humming or buzzing
