CARCASS FOR LORD

CARCASS FOR LORD
At the crack of dawn
The jelly yolk of the moon’s gradually melting
The man saddles his jackass
Out on a three-day journey to the mountain
His son fated to be carcassed for LORD
The crest of the shrine skylines in the distance...

Before the sun toughens, the morning’s shrewd
A stretch of road lies parallel to a stretch of railway

Universe poem:

Richly set. The flow of words is in tandem to the subject matter.
The cradle, the development and the climax altogether lie upon a common wavelength.
This is my adored literary technique.
I was stuck in choice -swinging- from, among others: The Fisherman, An Art of the Heart, Floyd Dream and I'm my own Man.

My Conclusion: this is the place to be. Michael M Njoroge.

Dying Promise
The Poet manages to get me a poem whose speaker treasures in genuine Love. I feel welcome to the soul of sharing the times in their companionship. In spite of shift from aura of joy to suffering, the speaker's task of committed love and care wobbles not. It sounds the speaker is more of casualty than victim.... My choice does not mean other poems are inferior. In fact I was stuck among the choices.... Good luck.
