Unrequieted

You moved among the flowers; those that yielded to your touch you picked.
You held them in your hands and with your breath caressed them; their sweetness had you tricked.
You placed them carefully in water, thinking so to make them last.
And,...

The Drowning

You are an ocean.
A tempest rages in you.
You pull me in and under.
I want to drown in you , to disappear into

your current and drift within you.
I want to taste your salt.
I want my lungs to fill with you, to gasp

  for air and despair...

This poem was unique. I loved the theme recurring of "you, me, we".

This poem appealed to me because it was different from the most of the others. It wasn't dripping in dramatic imagery, it wasn't overly sad, it wasn't about dying, or feeling depressed, or angst of any kind. I will probably never look at a scarecrow the same way again. This poem gave feelings to the lifeless scarecrow and made me feel something for a lifeless object. I found it unique and touching.
