I'm 36 years old and from Cleveland, Ohio. I've battled addiction my entire adult life. Most of my poems are about what I've been through due to it. I write what I feel and have been doing so since I was a teenager. I didn't start sharing them until October of 2019 when my mother died and I read a poem I had written about her for her eulogy. I saw the impact it had on people and was repeatedly told how talented I was. It helps me make sense that darkness I've come to know so well and hope someday it can do the same for others.
