I grew up on a farm in Alabama, went to school in a small town. Married, had a successful career in software engineering, had two daughters. Ended up on a mental health journey that found me divorced, rebuilding my relationships with my daughters, being involuntarily committed to a state mental health facility for 1.7 years, and still working my way through the process from a group home setting. I have new purpose, and new focus, and my mental illness does not define who I am.
