I lived a pretty boring, vanilla childhood in the suburbs of Western Canada in a white, middle-class family. I have struggled my entire life with a series of inexplicable mental disorders, which conveniently make for absolutely fantastic creative writing material. I find myself writing rather grim poems, as well as death metal lyrics and figuring out accompanying licks on the drums. Recently, I've been recovering and focusing entirely on school, and as I'm pretty mentally stable, I haven't been writing much poetry. Oh, well.
