When you're low and need a rise
Take my hand and close your eyes
I'll wipe the tears from your face
Take you to your happy place
 
Beyond the horizon of your fears
Beyond the shores of pain and tears
Past the fields of fear and hate
Finally reaching calm pastures gate
 
You’re scared, confused and so unsure
But your heart’s well placed, your soul is pure
So walk with me, through the gates
Where the happy roam free and calm awaits

Welcome to love, welcome to lust
Welcome to reliability, hope and to trust
Welcome to passion, earths greatest sin
Welcome to me and what lies within
 
But it’s just a dream, you lay in bed
I’m just a thought inside your head
You lay there still, quietly snoring
And I dream of you in silent adoring

E.S. Conway

A poet by proxy of therapy. Her works (with only a couple of exceptions) are comprised of poems written in a form of therapy diary, they served for several years as an aid to dealing with situations that may or may not be within the poems themselves. This is also the reason for so much rhyming; though not necessary for poetry, it was part of what made poetry therapeutic for her and so is an almost certain constant. more…
