Lifeless but alive

We are small bits of nothing
Sand dust exposed to wind’s blows
Tomorrow our joyful smiles
So bright now will turn sad

We are small toy beings
In the hands of ogres
Who play with our lives
Then eat them up

We are now lifeless
But still have to cry
Since the fat ogres
Want us to praise them

True we are bits of nothing
But our lives are still alive
For since we are lifeless
Nobody will ever kill us.
